For this special Jukebox Fury, The Basement teams up with The Great Escape, Europe’s answer to SXSW, to bring you a fantastic and eclectic programme of music throughout the evening. Alongside this Electronic Voice Phenomena to present a heady mix of psychedelic glitch, distorted poetry and twisted sounds.

Part séance, part avant-garde cabaret, EVP features exclusive new commissions and collaborations from poets Ross Sutherland, Hannah Silva and SJ Fowler, indie experimenters Outfit, and many more.

Liverpool band Outfit who were recently part of BBC 6 Music’s Best EPs of 2012 will provide a haunting live soundtrack to the night, whilst Ross Sutherland, with his unique and wickedly funny brand of spoken word performance, mines The Crystal Maze for feedback loops and moments of Jungian synchronicity.

Hannah Silva‘s cut-up vocals will delve into politics and the occult, channelling ghostly utterances from the past and restlessly experimental writer SJ Fowler introduces Electric Dada, reconfiguring early recordings of Klezmer and German erotica.
