Dance groups of Essex dancing to film soundtracks supporting young carers in Brentwood.

Many dance groups from all over Essex are supporting Brentwood’s Young Carers by performing in this production. They will be dancing to songs that are featured in movies.

The money raised from ticket sales will go to fund young carers respite services offered by Crossroads Care.

A young carer is a child aged from 8 years to 19 years old who carers for a parent or siblings with a disability, an illness or a mental health problems some of the tasks they may be needed for are daily living tasks such as giving medication, cleaning the house, shopping, bills, budgeting, personal care, preparing meals and even emotional support. The people they care for need their support to live a happy and fulfilled life.

The Young Carers attend a club run by Crossroads Care which aims to relieve stress of young carers and their families. We do this by helping them to have time to themselves. We provide them with any information or support they may need. And there is always someone they can talk to, who will listen and understand any problems they may be having.
