Sekou Kouyaté and Joe Driscoll's first collaboration was in Marseille's Nuits Metis Festival. Though they Shared no common spoken language, this Guinea-born singer / Kora player and New York rapper had no difficulty communicating through their music. Kindred spirits, after a few weeks improvising and jamming together they found a spiritual and musical bond - an extraordinary fusion of World, Afrobeat, Hip-Hop, Folk and Reggae that defies description yet commands attention.
