FIGHTBACK 2018 is ON.

We are delighted to announce the first four shows of Fightback UK 2018 featuring the fantastic The Wombats at four incredible Grassroots Music Venues across the UK in association with Openstage.

Fri 9 Feb: The Craufurd Arms (Live Music Venue), Milton Keynes
Sat 10 Feb: Bootleg Social, Blackpool
Sun 11 Feb: The Underground Bradford - Live Music Venue, Bradford
Tues 13 Feb: The Sugarmill, Stoke-on-Trent

Fightback 2018 is a major push by Music Venue Trust to generate the funding needed to support Grassroots Music Venues, and will see the charity reaching out to artists across the UK to stage events at their favourite local venue. But it's not just about fundraising:

“We want to highlight venues either in smaller towns or villages, or cities that aren’t particularly well known for their live music scene - these places are the lifeblood of a healthy touring circuit and have so much to offer" says Gary Prosser, Fightback's Creative and Events Manager. "We worked with Openstage and The Wombats to identify great places that often don't get the big tours. We are delighted that four Music Venues Alliance venues have been chosen, and that The Wombats are spearheading this new initiative. We need places like this right across the country to have a really healthy network of music venues that artists can develop in. That is what we are going to do with Fightback; highlight those venues and give artists and audiences a chance to support our Grassroots Music Venues.”
