Do Smart Phones Make You Smarter? Getting to Grips with Education Research.
Join Bournemouth University’s team of education researchers to find out more about young people’s use of technology. You may be surprised at the results! This session is aimed at teachers and anyone in education support roles. Participants can also find out about our unique suite of online education masters programmes, and even take one of our education short-courses for FREE!
Since 2005, the Centre for Excellence in Media Practice (CEMP), has been researching new techniques, tools and technologies in education. The CEMP team has conducted research on behalf of the BBC Trust, the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) The Higher Education Academy (HEA), Creative Skillset, UNESCO, Sony and the UK Literacy Association (UKLA). CEMP also publishes two peer-reviewed academic journals and convenes an annual international conference for teachers and those interested in creative and media education.
In addition, CEMP runs professional development programmes, at masters and doctorate level, for teachers and those in educational support roles. These programmes would be of interest to anyone who works with children, young people and new technology.
This event offers the opportunity to find out more about CEMP’s research, the latest developments in education research and our unique suite of professional programmes. Each attendee to the event will be invited to take one of CEMP’s education online short-courses, absolutely free of charge.
