Mozart's Jupiter

Jörg Widmann takes a Beethoven symphony, breaks it into shiny little pieces and throws it together again – con brio. He gets the stringsdancing to a techno beat, then makes his clarinet create sounds like you’ve never heard. Oh, and he plays Weber with incomparable poetry and flair, too – and conducts Mozart’s glorious Jupiter symphony with a composer’s insight and joy. Just an ordinary concert with our remarkable Artist in Residence!

CBSO+ 9.30pm: A special late-night performance from Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, with music composed and conducted by Jörg Widmann.
