Half Way There Tour

Passed

This event has been and gone.

Busted have grown-up without growing old with their fourth album ‘Half Way There’ which will be released on February 8th. It finds the trio returning to their hyperactive pop-punk sound for the first time since 2003’s all-conquering, multi-platinum album ‘A Present For Everyone’.

The new album announcement comes after Busted announced the smallest show of their career at the 100 Club in October (selling out within 2 minutes!) In addition, the band are also excited to confirm details of a major UK arena tour for March 2019.

A few years after Busted ended, members Matt and James formed McBusted with the McFly guys while Charlie took a heavier direction with his band Fightstar. Now the original three have reunited as Busted. With their crashing guitars and high-octane pop choruses, they released a string of hit singles between 2002-2004 including four no.1s plus the unforgettable early hits 'What I Go To School For' and 'Year 3000'. Busted paint perfect snapshots of life, the sound of young, bright guitar-friendly Britain. The boys returned with a new album in 2016; 'Night Driver' and released 'Half Way There' in February 2019 which perfectly brought back the 'Busted' sound again..

Brigade

Brigade appearing at this event

Frequently, bands get back together with dodgy motivations or to underwhelming results. Sometimes, though, they come back stronger, more compelling and completely reinvigorated which is what category Brigade fall ito. To recap, Brigade were among the many British bands that broke out in the noughties but never quite hit the heights their quality deserved in a weird, transitional era. Their soaring, melodic rock songs nonetheless left an indelible impression on their fans and garnered rave reviews and award nominations from the likes of Rock Sound, Kerrang! and the NME. Across three albums – 2006’s ‘Lights’, 08’s ‘Come Morning We Fight’ and 2011’s ‘Will Be Will Be’ – they built up a back catalogue to cherish, while touring with the likes of Biffy Clyro, and signing to Roadrunner Records in Japan. Like all good things, it was a run that came to an end seven years ago – but in the background over the intervening time, the core of the band never stopped exercising their songwriting and recording chops.
