Violinist and songwriter Gaelynn Lea performs haunting original songs and unique takes on traditional fiddle tunes, often using live looping to build up a richly layered sound. With her singular voice and deeply-affecting violin, Gaelynn and her songs guide the listener through a journey that explores dark and light, birth and death, anger and forgiveness, sorrow and joy.

Winner of NPR Music's 2016 Tiny Desk Contest, Gaelynn has toured extensively in her native USA, as well as being a regular visitor to the UK and mainland Europe.

Classically trained violinist and songwriter Gaelynn Lea has been bewitching scores of fans with her haunting original songs and experimental takes on traditional fiddle music. Gaelynn also does speaking engagements about disability, finding inner freedom, and the power of music. Gaelynn has a congenital disability called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, or Brittle Bones Disease. In recent years, she has used her music as a platform to advocate for people with disabilities and to promote positive social change.
