My Dad Sucked Lemons With Bela Bartock. This promises to be a zinger with a whirlwhind of a performance from London based, Alys Torrance, storyteller, actor and comedienne.

As well as running her own raucous storytelling night, Story Jam, Alys is part of the comedy duo Faultless and Torrance , recently toured with Gonzo Moose Theatre and has appeared on TV and radio including Coronation Street and The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies.
This show intertwines Hungarian trickster stories with stories about her own Hungarian father who really did suck lemons with Bella Bartok, escaped being blown to smithereens twice, towed a pig, briefly became a butler and smuggled Jews to safety.

So how did her Magyar Cavalry Officer father end up sitting in a Gloucestershire blackberry bush? Come and find out from Alys herself, described by The Stage as “Simply Hilarious” and by Fringe Report as “flawless”.
