VG Lee, author and funny woman reads from her new short story collection, Oh You Pretty Thing.
Maureen Younger, comedian, actor and author will be reading from her first collection of short stories.
Followed by a discussion on writing and their general experiences as writers and funny women (otherwise known as a bit of a chat).
VG Lee is an author and stand-up comedian. She has published four novels; The Comedienne, The Woman in Beige, Diary of a Provincial Lesbian and her most recent, Always you, Edina, by Ward Wood Publishing. In 2008 her short story collection, As You Step Outside was published by Tollington Press. In 2012 VG Lee was nominated for a Stonewall Award for Writer of the Year and also became a regular contributor of humour to The Lady Magazine. She is also the agony aunt for Gaze - A Modern Review.

Maureen is frank, fast, feisty, sharp and engaging – honest humour with attitude! She works as a stand up comedian and compere all around the UK and abroad and even gigs in German! As an experienced compere, Maureen is known for her quick wit and sharp audience interaction. Maureen is also the resident MC of MY Comedy in London and Birmingham, and has worked as a contributor on BBC Radio and Sky News.
