Serving up their own unique recipe of pop-rock, Cherym are a three-piece from Derry. The trio has emerged on many Irish lists as ‘Ones to Watch’ for 2019. Cherym’s identity was born of a joint love of Garage Rock, Pop Punk and a desire to smash the expectaions of their local rock scene. They cite Bikini Kill, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Pixies and The Front Bottoms as influences in their carefree, in-your-face sound.
Their self-released debut EP garnered them fans all over Ireland, earning them slots at Electric Picnic, Indiependence and Stendhal, as well support roles for local legends ‘And So I Watch You From Afar.’ The group were nominated for both ‘Best Single’ and ‘Best Newcomer’ in the 2018 NI Music Awards.
Cherym are a three piece noise pop/punk band from Derry. The band gets their buzz from their punchy vocal melodies, cut-throat riffs and in the past have been compared to bands such as Sheer Mag, The Front Bottoms and Milk Teeth.
