ARBORIST released their debut album Home Burial in November 2016 to critical acclaim. UNCUT 8/10 “A staggering debut of depth and substance", ????The Guardian"A Man of My Age feels like an instant classic" and ????Mojo "A deliciously self-assured collection."
They are set to release their follow-up album A Northern Viewearly next year. It was recorded live in the idyllic surroundings of Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studiosin Wiltshire (Laura Marling, The Gloaming, Cats Eyes, Super Furry Animals) and is a reflection on what it is to reside at around 55 degrees north on planet Earth.
Since the release of their debut single "Twisted Arrow" in 2015, Arborist have become somewhat cult properties, thanks in no small part to KIM DEAL (The Breeders, Pixies) contributing delicate harmonies to the song. Over the years they have opened for the likes of Low, Cat Power, Echo and The Bunnymen, Mark Mulcahy, James Yorkston and Guy Garvey.
Dublin's TANDEM FELIX re-emerged in 2017 with ’Were You There (When They Crucified The Birthday Boy)?’ – nominated for the Choice Music Prize Song of the Year – the band opened for Stephen Malkmus and The Jicks in Dublin’s Vicar Street, joined Saint Sister on their Irish tour and put the finishing touches on long-awaited debut album, Rom-Com which is released in Oct 2019.
The album was recorded in the now defunct Lamplight Studios and mixed in The Snug at Sonic Studios by engineer Stephen Dunne.
"These are classy, country-tinged songs about affairs of the heart, music for grownups, for divorcees, for people who have lived. Tandem Felix rarely break a sweat, let alone rock out or boogie. Maybe that’s why they called themselves that. They weren’t being ironic – they have found their perfect pace, their perfect mood, and for many of you it will be perfect, too."
