George Ezra

George Ezra appearing at this event

Young singer/songwriter folk-blues balladeer George Ezra first came to attention when BBC Introducing in his adopted home of Bristol picked up on a handful of tracks posted online. That led to a live session at the legendary Maida Vale studios and an oversubscribed performance on their stage at the 2013 Glastonbury Festival. The singer/songwriter possesses a deep, resonant, and emotionally weathered voice that belies his considerable youth. Influenced by similarly precocious troubadours like Dylan and Hank Williams, Ezra was just 19 when he issued his debut single 'Budapest', a warm, amiable, and soulful slice of classy folk-pop that invoked names like Willy Mason, Ben Howard, Ray Lamontagne and Tom Odell.

The Vaccines

The Vaccines appearing at this event

London-based four-piece The Vaccines firmly believe that less is more, with songs like 'Wreckin' Bar (Ra Ra Ra)' clocking in at under two minutes! Their fast and furious brand of giddy rock 'n' roll could almost be the sound of the Libertines and Ramones falling down the stairs at 100MPH. The band released their debut album What Did You Expect From The Vaccines in 2011, which became the biggest selling debut album by a band that year, while the 2012 follow up, Come Of Age, reached number one in the UK album charts. They have continued to have top 5 chart albums with 2015's English Graffiti and 2018's Combat Sports. "On record the Vaccines wallow in the echo-drenched wooziness made famous by the Jesus And Mary Chain, but live they reach back further through pop's past glories, stirring the shimmering girl group drama conjured by Phil Spector and scuzzed up by the Ramones." -The Guardian.

Kawala

Kawala appearing at this event

Alternative indie / folk two piece from the London borough of Camden. 'Jim and Daniel grew up partying together. Now singing together, they create songs with a strong narrative and a sweet purity runs through their acoustic sounds. Proudly representing their Camden roots, the North London twang is carried through their songs. Beauty is formed through their simplistic way of arranging a song, stripping back to basics of an instrumental and a vocal. The kind of raw vocals that warm your belly and make the hairs on your arms stand on end.'
