Hotfoot from The Savoy, The Ritz and the Café de Paris, Michael Law’s Piccadilly Dance Orchestra bring you the music of a period when the public valued melody, lyrics and irresistibly foot-tapping music: the 1920s and 30s.

From the 20s Charleston era through to the smoother and more sophisticated 30s, this music was created to lift people out of the doldrums, and now beguilingly evokes a happier, simpler time – perhaps this is why The PDO were especially chosen for BBC 4’s highly successful Len Goodman’s Dancing Feet and the sequel: Len Goodman’s Dance Band Days.
