Although hailed as the only blind comic on the stand up circuit, comedian Chris McCausland makes light of it. He usually begins with a crack about the irony of a blind man doing observational comedy and then speeds off into his entertaining and refreshing set, making wry and perceptive comments about the rich and famous, every day life and suchlike. Instantly likeable and definitely memorable.
'Proper stand up, honest straightforward and balls-out funny' (Chortle)
'A must see!' (The Sunday Times)
'Always excellent' (The Times)
'Truly brilliant' (Three Weeks)
'The new face of comedy in the UK' (ITV)
'Shining Light!' (Sunday Express)
'... fabulously funny and a definite highlight' (Leicester Mercury).
Chris McCausland tour dates
A young Dubliner, with a sharp and witty take on life. He has been climbing the comedy ladder steadily for a few years and after a year-long break, he started to hit the big time in 2002, with regular slots at the Edinburgh Festival. In 2003 he was a semi-finalist in several national comedy competitions.
'A hugely energetic performance, literally bouncing around the stage and infusing the room with an infectious passion' (Chortle)
'Natural and genuinely funny' (Galway Independent)
'... Irish comedian Andrew Stanley, who oozes gentle charm. He bounces around the stage delivering his witty observations, soaking the room with his contagious enthusiasm' (Funhouse Comedy).
Andrew Stanley tour dates
Sharp and surreal observational humour, with a clean, swear-free set. He is a regular compere at several comedy clubs, in and outside the capital. As well as performing both his live stand-up and sketches for television, he writes prolifically for TV and radio.
O'Donnell mixes sharp oneliners with friendly storytelling and sparkling off the cuff wit.
'Lightening fast' (Evening Standard).
