Lorraine And Alan

Alan, 23, is a recent graduate in Marine Biology and a seal tour guide extraordinaire. When he discovers a mysterious young woman lying amongst the seal, their lives become irreversibly intertwined. But who is Lorraine? Where did she come from? And why does she take so long in the bath…?

Lorraine And Alan is a modern re-telling of the Selkie myth – Selkies are Celtic creatures which are seals in the water, but take on human form on land, and have enchanting seductive powers. This new version, with live electronic sound design, songs and several hundred plastic bottles is about co-dependency, and how we allow those we love to shape who we are; moving out of your parents’ house; the sleepiness of Little England; delicious salty peanuts and a woman who eats them.

'A very lovable show with buckets of charm' (Lyn Gardner, The Guardian).
