Bruce Munro

In spring 2013 Munro will install Cantus Arcticus in the Coach House as part of Waddesdon’s contemporary programme. Inspired by a piece of music of the same name, by Rautavaara, and made with the Northern Lights and artic landscapes in mind, Cantus Arcticus is a three dimensional repeated pattern of abstracted bird forms; ethereal veils of light will cascade from above, casting soft illuminated pools that change colour in response to Rautavaara’s music, which will be playing in the space.
