Emmet Scanlan & What the Good Thought are an roots rock band whose music defies the usual categorisations but its weaving in and out of rock,blues, soul, traditional music and more somehow ends up as a considerably more powerful sum of its constituent parts. At times the songs are mesmeric dragging you into them and almost forcing your emotional involvement.

This is one for the real music fans out there and their busy schedule of dates through the past few years has gained them ever more fans. Recent releases include a critically acclaimed full length album and several Eps also highly regarded. New material is expected in the not so distant future from these talented musicians. We know that they will leave a whole new cohort of fans behind them in Abingdon after this gig.
