Khamira

Khamira is a new World Music band, featuring musicians from India and Wales fusing elements of Welsh folk, Indian Classical, jazz and rock – a truly unique World Music experience!

Four musicians from Wales join three of India's genre-breaking musicians to create Khamira. Suhail Yusuf Khan's virtuosic Serengi and vocals dovetails with Tomos Williams' trumpet, Vishal Nagar's tabla joins in a feast of rhythms and syncopations with Mark O'Connor's drum kit, while Aditya Balani's soaring guitar solos are supported by Dave Jones' keyboard and Aidan Thorne's bass.

Khamira will be playing Aberystwyth as a part of a prestigious week long tour of Wales – their first performances in Wales and the UK.
