The Astoria & Astoria 2 have now closed and will be demolished to make way for a Crossrail project that will install a new train line linking the east and west of the capital. The Astoria has in the past played host to the Rolling Stones, Prince, U2, Foo Fighters, Eminem, David Bowie, Nirvana, and Radiohead, amongst many other world-class acts.
