Newark Castle

Newark Castle has stood proudly on the banks of the River Trent in the historic market town of Newark on Trent for nearly 900 years. Partially destroyed following the English Civil War, the remaining walls of the Castle enclose the recently refurbished Victorian gardens, winners of a prestigious Green Flag award in recognition of their high standards.
