An 18th century English Baroque parish church by Thomas Archer, with its famous stained glass by Burne-Jones, became the cathedral for the new Diocese of Birmingham in 1905. The churchyard, restored in 2000, has a perimeter of cast-iron railings, with a double row of plane trees.
