The Daily Mirror has reported that lead singer Ian Brown and guitarist John Squire will patch up their rocky relationship in order for The Stone Roses to reform this summer.

It has been nine years since the band parted ways, and rumours of a reunion have gathered pace since John Squire proclaimed in a recent interview with Time Out magazine that he planned to make another solo record 'and then to put the Roses back together'.

The Mirror also claims that the original band members have lined up a 21-gig tour for the summer, 20 years on since their debut album 'The Stone Roses' was released.
