The Bluetones say farewell
Indie legends The Bluetones have announced their last ever tour, marking the end of an era for the band who have been going strong since they formed in the early '90s. Frontman Mark Morriss says: "After 17 years and 6 albums, The Bluetones have decided that the time has arrived to call it a day and move on to other challenges. Before disappearing forever though, we will be heading out for one last tour, as a chance to say farewell and thank you to all the fans that have sustained us over these years, with a career-spanning Greatest Hits/Best Of... style set of songs. It's gonna be emotional." The band kick off the tour in Yeovil on September 3rd, then call at Cardiff, Reading, Brighton, Southampton, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Sheffield, Liverpool, London, Leeds, Bournemouth, Oxford and Bristol. The final show will be in Birmingham on September 22nd.
Hugely influential in the Britpop movement, these final live shows will be a reminder of just how important The Bluetones are within the UK indie music scene. | ![]() The Bluetones |
