Slayer have announced a UK tour in support of their new album World Painted Blood which is due for release November 2nd. Since their debut in 1983, the band have had nine studio albums, four of which have received gold certification in the United States. Rising to fame as one of the leaders of American thrash metal with their 1986 release Reign in Blood, the band is credited as one of the 'Big Four' thrash metal bands, along with Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth. The tour is due to kick off Wednesday 18 November in Nottingham, with further stops in Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.
