Calvin Harris, the self-proclaimed reinventor of disco, is the latest act to be announced for Liverpool Music Week, taking place across the city this November.

Liverpool Music Week is the UK's biggest indoor winter music festival, hosting over 80 events across 20 city centre venues and featuring over 300 live acts. Now in its 7th Year, the musical showcase features big name acts and gives a performance platform for fresh emerging talent.

The growing all-star line-up so far includes headliners Kasabian, festival openers The Specials, The Enemy, Reverend and The Makers, Seasick Steve and Gallows.

Alongside the big-name artists, the festival also showcases up-and-coming talent in a series of free shows that take place in dozens of city centre venues. Performing at newly-refurbished venue The Masque, Twisted Wheel and The Bays are the first bands to be announced for the free festival.

More acts will be announced over the coming weeks.
