The United Kingdom has been the birthplace of some of the finest minds the planet has ever known. Through areas such as science, politics, literature and music, many British-born people have assisted in shaping modern society. As time has passed, the legacy of these great men and women still remains, so much so that the birthplaces of these legendary people have been preserved to maintain the importance of their life and work.
