British band Coldplay have taken home not one but two prestigious titles at this year's Q Awards ceremony. Not only did Chris Martin and co. win the Best Album award for their latest release Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends, they were also given the accolade of Best Act In The World Today. Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour also won big with the Outstanding Contribution To Music prize, while eighties stars Grace Jones and Adam Ant were named Q Idols. Other winners included Massive Attack, who were given the Q Innovation In Sound award, Kaiser Chiefs, who took home Best Live Act and country star Glen Campbell, who was honoured as a Q Legend. The Q Inspiration award was handed over to Scots band Cocteau Twins, while Duffy and The Last Shadow Puppets went away with the Breakthrough Artist and Best New Act titles respectively.
