Following a hugely successful year which has seen him selling out arenas across the country on his biggest ever tour, Michael McIntyre rounds 2009 off with three nominations for Best Live Stand-up Performer, Best Comedy Entertainment Personality and Best Comedy Entertainment Programme with his Comedy Roadshow, for this year's British Comedy Awards. He's up against Frankie Boyle and Stewart Lee for the Best Live Stand-up Performer award, and Alan Carr and Harry Hill for the Best Comedy Entertainment Personality award. Alan Carr has also received three nominations for Chatty Man, whilst Harry Hill has two for Harry Hill's TV Burp. However, the BBC sitcom Outnumbered leads the way with a total of five nominations, with Claire Skinner up for Best Comedy Actress and its three child stars all in the running for Best Newcomer.
