Beer On The Wye 6

The Beer on The Wye beer festival is organised each year in a traditional marquee by unpaid volunteers. Serving 120+ beers and over 60 ciders, it is held on the banks of the River Wye at Hereford Rowing Club. Beer on the Wye 5 was another sellout triumph which attracted the worlds press. Featuring some of the finest ales from all over Britain, entertainment included The Velvet Dukes, Ricky Cool and the Hoola Boola Boys, Fight the Bear, Martin Blake and Freewater. The festival boasts the largest selection of Herefordshire Ciders anywhere and this year we introduced a pioneering cider cooling system. The winning Real ale 2009 was Cairngorn Tradewinds with Kelham Island Easy rider second and Teme Valley "This" in third.
