Disney's A Christmas Carol PG

Writer/director Robert Zemeckis adapts Charles Dickens' classic holiday tale A Christmas Carol as a star vehicle for Jim Carrey in this Disney Digital 3D animated film for all ages. Ebenezer Scrooge (Carrey) begins the Christmas holiday with his usual stingy disapproval, snapping at his faithful clerk (Gary Oldman) and his joyful nephew (Colin Firth). But when the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come take him on an eye-opening journey revealing truths Old Scrooge is reluctant to face, he must open his heart to undo years of ill will before it's too late. Carrey not only takes on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, but all of the three ghosts who come to haunt him as well. The filmmaking process is in tune with the director's other animated outings, The Polar Express and Beowulf, and is a delightful Christmas treat.
