Bandslam 
Disney favourites Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) and Alyson Michalka (Phil of the Future) star in the latest teen fantasy from the House of Mouse. Michalka plays a gifted singer-songwriter who recruits a new kid in town (Gaelan Connell) to manage her rock band in order to go up against her egotistical ex-boyfriend and his band at the biggest event of the year, a battle of the bands competition. Bandslam is a story using the same elements as High School Musical, but a little more grown up. It expresses a coming-of-age mentality with teen romance and life lessons, all mixed in with the 'hip' notion of being in a rock band. Albeit for teenagers, the film boasts some excellent appearances from the likes of Lisa Kudrow and even David Bowie!
