Nim's Island 
Described as a cross between Robinson Crusoe and Home Alone, Nim's Island is a magical fantasy for kids and adults alike. Nim (Abigail Breslin) lives on a secret island with her dad (Gerard Butler) and a menagerie of animal friends, leading a simple but very happy existence. But when Alexandra Rover (Jodie Foster), the author of Nim's favourite book and a reclusive city-dweller, finds herself washed up on their beach, things begin to change very quickly. Nim's dad goes missing, and it's up to Nim and Alex to find him, throwing the pair into the biggest adventure of their lives.
