The Mistress Of Spices 
Based on the novel by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, The Mistress of Spices is a charming mix of love story, fairytale and cultural exploration in the vein of fellow foodie-flick Chocolat. Tilo (Aishwarya Rai) is an Indian woman from an old, mystical cult who moves to America to open a spice store. Here she shares her magical gift of improving people's lives with her specially selected spices, spreading joy among her new community. But her life as a mistress of spices is dictated by rules and self-denial: Tilo must never leave the store, never touch another human and she can never use the spices for herself. So when American Doug (Dylan McDermott) enters her life and she starts to fall for him, Tilo must choose between her love for him and her love for her culture.
