After The Sunset
Pierce Brosnan plays a ruggedly handsome and suave international playboy, with a sexy woman (Salma Hayek) on his arm and a cocktail in his hand. 'James Bond?' you ask with a quizzically raised eyebrow. Good try, but no. This time, Pierce is the bad guy, a retired master criminal, enjoying relaxing days on the caribbean beach and nights of nookie with his senorita. It's a hard life, lazing on the sand, but like all good career thieves, he wants to steal just that little bit more. When his old nemesis, FBI agent Stan Lloyd (Woody Harrelson) turns up, he gets the ideal opportunity. Lloyd thinks than Brosnan is about to nick a diamond off a docking cruise ship. Well, he wasn't about to, but he's definitely thinking about it now... This is a relatively undemanding comedy crime caper, the highlight being the cheeky banter between the two men. It's no classic, but it is an easy, amusing film, perfect for a Friday night.
