Folkworks Durham Gathering: Fiddlers from the Borders

An annual event celebrating the richness of traditional music, song and dance in a three-day festival with concerts at Gala, outdoor music, plus a few musical surprises and busking performances.

One of the new generation of Borders fiddle players, Lori Watson is a Young Traditional Musician of the Year finalist and award-winning Shona Mooney has appeared at many international festivals. Carly Blain is a captivating fiddler with The Monster Ceilidh Band, and Peter Tickell is a finalist of the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award who has toured worldwide with the Peatbog Faeries and Kathryn Tickell Band.
