More Information

Alison Moyet

Alison Moyet

She's been a card-carrying punk, a blues shouter and a dance-floor diva... which Alison Moyet will it be today? Whatever incarnation she is currently in, you are guaranteed a terrific performance from a true original.

Amy Macdonald

Amy Macdonald

Glaswegian singer-songwriter, whose folk-blues songwriting, powerful vocals and passionate delivery have earned her quite a reputation, despite her young age.

Andrea Corr

Lead singer of the Celtic folk rock and pop rock group The Corrs.

Billy Bragg

Billy Bragg

Described by The Times as a 'National Treasure', Billy Bragg's brand of socially and politically aware punk-folk has made a remarkable dent in the British conscience and made his name as one of Britain's most popular and out-spoken singer/songwriters. Drawing on the folk tradition of protest song, and the punk sensibilities of direct action, Billy Bragg has made a name for himself as an accomplished and inspirational musician, and as a charged and pro-active activist.

Catherine Tate

Catherine Tate

Perrier Award Nominee 2000 Catherine started her comedy career as a skilful, storytelling stand-up. Part simple comedy, part biting satire, Tate's versatility and dazzling aptitude for inhabiting the skin of a wide-ranging cast of characters of various ages whose catchphrases have become part of our vocabulary as a result of her BBC2 sketch show. But is she bovvered?!

Clare Maguire

Clare Maguire

Birmingham singer/songwriter.

David Gray

David Gray

With his simple yet touching melodies (both melancholic and feelgood in equal measure), 'White Ladder' confirmed David Gray as one of the leading singer / songwriters in the business. Well-crafted, emotional and mature pop.

Eddi Reader

Eddi Reader

Former vocalist with The Fairground Attraction and now highly successful singer-songwriter in her own right, Eddi combines meltingly true vocals and towering romanticism with an astute and pragmatic outlook on life.

Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding

From hushed recordings with EMI in Germany, to working in Reykjavik with Bjork's producer Valgeir Sigurdsson, to holing up with in a dark Seattle studio with Minus The Bear, Ellie Goulding can't be kept a secret for much longer.

James Walsh

AKA the frontman of indie troubadours Starsailor.

Johnny Marr

The legendary guitarist from The Smiths, who has been an inspiration for legions of string-pluckers ever since the eighties. More recently his trademark sound has been feeding into The Healers, a band he fronts.

Kim Wilde

Kim Wilde

Daughter of the evergreen Marty Wilde, Kim's debut single 'Kids In America' was released in 1980 and was a massive hit single. Alongside rejuvenating her singing career, Kim has developed green fingers and is a presenter on the BBC's programme 'Garden Invaders'.

Phill Jupitus

Phill Jupitus

This popular stand-up and TV comedian is well-known for his appearances on the pop music quiz show Never Mind The Buzzcocks. His career as a performer began in 1984 when he quit his job as a civil servant to follow a new direction as a performance poet on the alternative comedy circuit and supporting bands such as The Style Council and The Housemartins. During the late '80s he worked Billy Bragg, directing videos for both Bragg and Kirsty MacColl. Phill has an abiding love and in-depth knowledge of popular music, particularly ska, bluebeat and rhythm & blues. His hugely successful standup tours have included Jedi, Steady, Go and Quadrophobia, and he has worked extensively on radio, variously as a contributor, panellist and presenter. He has also been touring as part of The Blockheads line-up.

Omar Puente

An exponent of hot Cuban salsa music, Omar cut his teeth with Latin greats such as Ruben Gonzales, Chucho Valdez And Arturo Sandoval.

Shane MacGowan

Shane MacGowan

Gravel-voiced former Pogues frontman, top-class solo artist and song-writer extraodinaire - and bane of dentists the world over. MacGowan's material with new group The Popes still successfully taps into the rich vein of celtic folk, rock and punk that it ever did. A modern genius.
