Manchester, Television and the City: Ghosts of Winter Hill

Launching to co-incide with the North West region's digital switchover on Nov 4, the exhibition celebrates Manchester's contribution to television history, investigating the cultural impact it has had on the city and the people who live here. Looking back over 50 years of ambitious and entertaining programming, it will present well known favourites alongside rare and previously unseen material, as well as cast a glimpse to the future. With the arrival of MediaCityUK and BBC North in Salford, and our viewing habits moving increasingly on line - what will the future hold?
