Six Organs of Admittance is basically just one man (but what a man!) - Ben Chasny (of Comets On Fire), along with whomever he ropes in for recording or for shows. This man-band started in 1997 when Ben self- released his first LP in an edition of 400, little dreaming that one day Six Organs of Admittance would sell 37 times as many records. It was just something that was destined to happen - but that was the beginning of the happening.

Brussels based musician Bram Devans beams in blues from another planet, incorporating detuned guitar, slap back echo, howling vocals and swathes of feedback. Otherworldly psychedelic/noise music in which the ghosts of Mississippi John Hurt, Jandek, Kevin Shields and Fonal all figure. A lo-fi fetishist who used to put tapes out in the rain as a child to hear the effects of decomposition, he sings like a vintage '78, crackly and distant, over an acoustic guitar accompaniment that's spat out and decimated live by his bank of samplers and pedals.
