For BBC Children in Need 2009, Gary Barlow and Take That are adding to the magic by inviting an all-star line-up of rock and pop's finest, who in total have amassed over 50 UK number one hits, to take part in BBC Children in Need Rocks the Royal Albert Hall.

Gary Barlow

Gary first found fame as a member of Take That in the '90s, and is generally regarded as the musical talent behind the group, writing 16 hit singles during the '90s and receiving the Ivor Novello Award 5 times. Following the band's split in 1996, Gary went on to enjoy a successful solo career, but is now back with take That following their reformation in 2006.

The rumours were true: they said it would never happen, but a decade on, Take That, the biggest and best boy band since the 60s are back. The line-up is minus one Robbie Williams, but that doesn't matter. They are still the band who scored four consecutive number one singles and the first act to release eight singles entering the UK chart at Number 1. Since their return the fearsome foursome completed The Ultimate Tour and released the Beautiful World album, and as of 2008 the band boasts The Circus, their fifth studio album to date.
