Normal charts the final days and self-induced execution of Peter Kurten, known in 1920’s Germany as The Düsseldorf Ripper. On trial Kurten sabotages his own defence, leaving his naive young lawyer broken and deranged. This provocative study of madness moves deftly from black comedy to tragedy, challenging what we accept as ‘normal’. Warning: Not suitable for children. This production contains strong language and graphic violence.
