Comedy store regular and star of Phoenix Nights, playing 'Kenny'. His vocal dexterity and spot-on voicebox tricks make him an audience favourite. He also starred in the BBC2 show, I Love The 1990s.
Runner up in the BBC New Talent Award in 2000 at the Edinburgh Festival, Anthony has also appeared in Phoenix Nights. A curious cove, delivering deadpan bible-black one, two and three liners with well dressed regularity he is strangely compelling with a comedic landscape that includes dead grandparents, in-flight pickpockets and a measured asexual malevolence.
His on stage persona is a combination of 'idiot savant' meets 'victim of society' with a bit 'Dr Who's bad hair day' thrown in. Emerging form the North East circuit, John pursues a course into surreal, pseudo-intelligent sometimes dark areas, mixing gags with observations and blending his maligned logic with personal experience.
