A former DJ and electronic musician who has made the brave step of crossing over to the world of singer-songwriters, and written new tracks as fresh as anything he's done before. He may have lied to his record company in order to do it (claiming the music he played them was the work of someone else), but Ninja Tune's decision to commission a whole album's worth prompted him to come clean- our gain.

'There’s not much original territory to be ploughed by singer-songwriters, so you have to admire the innovative, enthralling efforts of Ben Howard, who uses his guitar to build swirling, percussive beats around plaintive plucking and melancholic vignettes' -Kirkham, Red Stripe.
