The Seahorses' Chris Helme with his new band, featuring former Shed Seven guitarist Paul Banks. The Yards are what happens when a devilishly inventive rock band collide with classical strings. If you combine Chris Helme's darkly poetic, distinctive voice with Paul Banks' grinding guitars and a gorgeously snaking cello, you have a sound unlike anything you have experienced before, joyfully uplifting and sleazily cool.
