Tight as hell, and with a wide-eyed enthusiasm for the bands they love, this 5-piece outfit from the outskirts of Glasgow wear their influences (Darkest Hour, The Black Dahlia Murder, Killswitch Engage, Trivium) on their sleeves. Throwing convention to the wind, RIR mesh monstrous death, metalcore, progressive and even straight rock riffs with massive sounding choruses, led by uncomplicated and thunderous lead vocals. It is a collision course of melodic harmonising guitars, epic choruses and soaring vocal harmonies, with moments of sheer aggressiveness and unrelenting brutality. RIR make a point of delivering this with unremitting energy on stage.
