Roots Manuva

Roots Manuva

Roots Manuva, aka Rodney Smith, is known for being one of the major driving forces of British Hip-Hop. Along with label mates TY, Mark B and Blade, Roots Manuva has not only taken the UK hip-hop scene by storm, but is challenging American artists as well. A supreme MC, he was nominated for the prestigious MOBO Award for Best Hip Hop Act in 2001. Known for his socio-political lyrics and fearless writing, he is at the forefront of the growing British rap and hip-hop phenomenon.

Wiley is one of the founders of 'grime' music, but has since gone on to start up his own group. Mixing an electronic beat with a kicking hip hop beat, Wiley is grime music's most famous, and best loved artist, influencing all those young artists who are coming through on the scene. Wiley is an MC and a producer, which is really telling in his musical style and arrangements.
