Louisiana Red

Louisiana is regarded as one of the giants of blues. Born in the deep south of the USA he was influenced by Muddy Waters but has developed his own style over the last 50 years.

Michael Messer is a slide guitar master. His obsessive appetite for knowledge of the art is virtually unequalled. He has just released the ultimate teaching tool for guitarists called 'An Introduction to Blues Slide Guitar'. To further reflect the esteem in which he is held, Newtone Strings in conjunction with National Reso-phonic Guitars have a Michael Messer brand specifically made for the National Steel Guitar. The late Johnny Cash was also a big admirer.
