Blue Square Tolworth Hurdle Day

Sandown Park kicks off the New Year with a fine day’s racing, which includes the famous Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle for novices. This challenging race is run over two miles, including eight hurdles, and always attracts top-flight hurdlers in a fiercely fought contest. The roll call of former victors includes Desert Orchid and Monsignor and the race has been dominated in recent years by Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls.
