Since 2006 Nick May has been making a photographic study of agriculture and food production in South Lincolnshire and the Fenlands. Reclaimed from the sea since Roman times, this is one of the most productive and intensively farmed agricultural regions of Europe and is now the centre of the UK food industry. Small farms have been squeezed out and most agricultural production in the region is now controlled by a handful of companies, part of a multinational network of suppliers - growing, importing, processing and packing to the stringent demands of a 24/7 supermarket culture.
