It was old school friends Jan, Andrew and Simon pursuing their near-obsessive love of soul music and '70s funk that inspired them to form The Brand New Heavies. Now reunited with original lead singer N'Dea Davenport and label Delicious Vinyl, the band released a live CD 'Live at the Indigo2' in late 2008, and announced they would be releasing a new album in 2009 with N'Dea Davenport on vocals.
